This is My Story
Born in the 70’s and raised in the small South Bay town of El Segundo, California I spent most of my days surfing, skating or just hanging out at the beach. Something that still consumes my time and I draw inspiration from.
When I started painting in college for an art elective I soon found my self immersed in this new passion and creative outlet. I loved the fact that I could sculpt and manipulate the piece on my own terms, no one elses opinions or ideas that needed to be applied. Thats what I love about art (painting in general) is that it is completely on your own terms and nothing is wrong or right, its just art. Although most of my recent work is focused on a lifestyle and culture, I like to work in Expressionism as well as abstarct and impressionism.
Since graduating from California State Dominguez Hills in 2009, with a B.A. in Mass Communications with a minor in Studio Art, Kevin has worked tirelessly in crafting his skills trying new mediums as well as marketing himself to the public.
Kevin’s work has been shown throughout a handful of Los Angeles galleries as well as ongoing exhibits. Select pieces have also sold at auction @Bonhams for charity events such as Art Project Los Angels(benefiting Aids Project Los Angeles). Creativity Heals in Los Angeles(benefiting under privileged youth in Los Angeles), and for the California Wildlife Center @ Malibu Market and design in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Bruce Brown “Endless Summer ” movie.
